Three stars for this installment.
I still love this series, and my attachment to these characters is very much intact. Rose is one of those heroines who makes it incredibly easy to become invested in her journey, and I absolutely wanted to keep following her story.
But loving a series doesn’t automatically mean every book gets five stars from me.
This installment didn’t quite hit the same way as the first two. I was still invested enough to continue, but it wasn’t one of those books that left me wanting to immediately declare my undying devotion to the entire fictional universe.
The overall series still has my heart, but this one lands in the middle for me.
Three stars. Still reading. Still invested.
