Five stars, and apparently Spokane, Washington, deserves a mention.

Because imagine my surprise when I’m happily reading my vampire romance and suddenly Richelle Mead decides to insult an entire city.

“Spokane?” I asked incredulously. “Spokane, Washington? Who makes Spokane their hideout?” I’d been there once. It was about as boring as every other backwoods northwest city.

EXCUSE ME??? 😂

I HAVE BEEN TO SPOKANE. I AM SCREAMING.

Honestly, this is one of the reasons I love reading series. You get to spend more time with characters you’ve already become attached to, and you get to see their world expand.

Rose is still Rose, and I am still firmly in her corner.

And Dimitri? Well. I’m not going to pretend I need convincing to keep reading about that man.

Five stars. Also, Spokane catching strays in a vampire novel will never not be funny.
