Welcome to The Horde
Romance Magic Family Chaos
If you enjoy urban fantasy, fiercely loyal families, dangerous men, badass heroines, and romances that permanently ruin your standards… welcome home.
Hidden Legacy · Nevada & Rogan
Mad Rogan. The Standard.
Connor “Mad” Rogan is a billionaire Prime, the highest rank of magic user in a world where magic is power, money, and politics all at once. He’s dangerous, a loner, scary enough that his name alone clears a room, and protective in a way that should come with a warning label. The man is Mad hot. That’s basically the review.
Then he meets Nevada Baylor: a private investigator who knows when people are lying, runs her family’s detective agency, and refuses to be intimidated by him. Not even a little. Watching the scariest man in Houston realize the woman in front of him will not back down is the whole reason I’m like this.

“He viewed this as the beginning of our end, but he came anyway. He was also a complete idiot if he thought I’d let him get away. He was mine.”
“Do you think if you snarl enough, I’ll tell you? You’re not that scary, Rogan, and I don’t respond well to intimidation. Maybe you should lather up some spit.”

The Quotes That Live Rent-Free in Our Heads
Some of these made me scream. Some made me cackle in public. One involves a frying pan. Filter by mood, or just read them all like a normal, well-adjusted person.
I pretended to mull it over. “Promise not to break any buildings.”
He gave me his most polite dragon smile. “I promise.”
“Call her out,” Arabella said.
“Tell her Rogan is yours!” Grandma Frida pumped her fist.
“Don’t let her take your man!” Leon declared.
We all looked at him.
“I was feeling left out,” he said.
“So, are we still on tonight? For our dinner?” I asked.
“Hell, yes. We’re on for tonight. We’re on for tomorrow. We’re on for the foreseeable future.”
Vincent rolled his eyes. “I can’t believe I have to say this. You there, dashing male secretary! Drop the frying pan.”
The pan clattered to the floor behind me.
He lay still. “I give up,” he said and smiled. “Your move.”
Er. I was sitting atop the Beast Lord in my underwear, holding a knife to his throat. What the hell was my next move?
We looked at the fire. “This is one hell of a date,” I said.
“Trapped by a horde of vampires in the middle of a snow-covered field, huddling around a tiny fire on thin blankets,” Curran said. “Drink it in, baby. All this luxury just for you.”
“You’re up early, Your Grace.”
“It’s a lovely day and we’re under siege. People are trying to murder us.” Her eyes shone with excitement. “Isn’t it marvelous?”
