How would I describe Kate Daniels? WITH A SERIES OF GIFS!!!
Simply put I WOULD DIEE for her love. Kate is one of the great paranormal detectives and this 👏🏻Freaking👏🏻 series👏🏻 is one of my absolute favorite rereads. From the strong characters that interact with Kate to the general funny humors to just the goddamn quality of sass on almost every page
As the series continues to develop, Kate’s history is catching up with her and threatening her future oooo classic battle with a new bloody twist,
“KEEP OUT was written across it in large jagged letters. A reddish-brown splatter stained the bottom edge, looking suspiciously like dried blood. I leaned closer. Yep, blood.
Curran frowned at the sign. “Do you think he’s trying to tell us something?”
“I don’t know. He’s being so subtle about it.”
Honestly Bless all the weaves this woman snatched in this series. Kate has been manipulated and abused so many times by people wanting her power but then yelling at her and refusing to aid her later… *dafaq bruh*
So when her dark agnsty self said said this line… i ended up agreeing moreee than i shouldve
“ Every time I use my magic, everybody gets so concerned. I defend them, I bleed for them, and the moment the immediate danger passes, they let me know how much they disapprove. As if their fucking disapproval matters”
And of course badass Curran stands BESIDESSSSS HIS WOMAN and supports her and they just all cute and bloodthirsty
“Did you run any of this by Curran?”
“I told him I was about to do something idiotic and dangerous, and he told me to go ahead and let him know if he could help in any way.”
“I don’t understand your relationship.”
So not only was the plot continuing to build upon previous events, character development, it was just so genuinely funny where I felt Kate’s personality fucking shine from the pages and throw me into her world. And of course i enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you Kate
“So far I had the god of evil and the god of terror on my side. My good-guy image was taking a serious beating. Maybe I should recruit some unicorns or kittens with rainbow powers to even us out.”
